HUSH CPH is a project by Violet Glitch, operated from Copenhagen, Denmark. This page explains what happens when you visit the site or join the waitlist. Joining the waitlist is not a booking.

Who is responsible for your information?

Violet Glitch, for the HUSH CPH project, is responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions or to use your data rights, email hushcph@violetglitch.com.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and first name. The form also lets you optionally share touch, talking, music and background-sound preferences, plus short free-text notes about what you like or would rather avoid. You can leave all preferences and notes blank. Please do not include health information or other sensitive personal details.

We also keep the date you joined, a record of the privacy notice version shown, and a hashed form of the private link used to manage or delete your entry. The active waitlist record is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. We do not use your waitlist details for unrelated marketing or sell them.

How we use it

We use your email and name to manage the waitlist and send the opening and booking information you asked to receive. When you join, our email service sends a confirmation to you and a signup notification to HUSH CPH. The notification contains your name and email. Your optional preferences and free-text notes are not sent through that email service.

The basis for using your waitlist details is your request to join and the consent you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw that consent and leave the list at any time. This does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

How long we keep it

Your waitlist entry remains active until you remove it using the private link in your confirmation email, ask us to remove it, or the waitlist is closed and the information is no longer needed for the opening updates you requested. When the waitlist closes, we will delete remaining active entries. Signup notification emails may remain in the HUSH CPH inbox until they are deleted there; email us if you want us to remove those copies too.

If you choose analytics, we store only daily totals for each event, not a record linked to you. Those totals are retained without a scheduled deletion date.

Service providers and transfers

Cloudflare provides the site hosting, security and database service. Google Workspace services, including Gmail and Apps Script, handle the waitlist emails. These providers process information to deliver their services and may process technical data such as IP address and request details when you connect to the site. We do not store visitor IP addresses in the site’s analytics database.

Cloudflare documents that its security cookie data may be processed in the United States by default. Google services may also involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Their current privacy terms and applicable transfer safeguards govern those services. We do not control their own processing described in their notices.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, or receive information you provided in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. Use the private link in your confirmation email to remove your active waitlist entry, or contact us at hushcph@violetglitch.com. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.

Cookies and similar technologies

Essential technologies are used to protect and operate the site. Optional analytics is off unless you choose “Accept all” or turn it on in Cookie settings. If enabled, the site sends page visits, waitlist-button clicks, form starts and completed signups to our own server. We keep only daily totals by event. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, visitor IDs or browsing profiles.

Cloudflare describes its security cookie as necessary for bot-protection services. The HUSH CPH preference cookie stores your choice and when it was made. It is not used to identify you. You can change or withdraw your analytics choice at any time:

If you choose necessary-only, no optional analytics events are sent. If you choose analytics, events are sent only after that choice. You can also disable cookies in your browser, though Cloudflare’s security checks may then work differently.

Changes or questions

If our data use or cookies change, we will update this page. Any new optional technology will remain off until you have a choice. For questions, email hushcph@violetglitch.com.
